What was the highlight of Henn na Hotel Osaka Namba

Gimicky but still good.

Fun concept with the robot dinosuars at the front desk, and tries to be as eco-friendly as possible which was nice. Rooms were spacious, and the location excellent for exploring Osaka on foot. The room was very quiet and i slept well!

After check in with the robots, there was little in the way to seperate it from any other hotel.

Very Good

A unique opportunity to stay in a hotel with a robot dinosaur check-in/out. Staying in the concept rooms was a fun experience and they came with some fun complimentary items. Located close to everything I was looking for in Osaka. On-site breakfast was good. Hotel has bag lockers for those who are leaving their bags before checking in or after leaving.

Comfortable hotel with excellent location but robot gimmick not really worth it

This hotel has robot dinosaurs as receptionists. The rooms were quiet and comfortable with good bathrooms. The best thing was the location as it was in walking distance of shops, restaurants and train stations so easy to get out and see Osaka.

Checking in 3 people for 2 rooms was a bit confusing on the self-service machine and we ended up needing a human to help. Our two rooms were on different floors and we couldn't get the lift to each other's floor as the room key card was needed for the lift. One room looked directly at a blank wall so had absolutely no view. The robot in our room didn't really work properly and seemed a bit dated.

Big bed, great location, weird layout for sink

The bed was a comfortable two singles pushed together for a queen. The dinosaurs are funny but ultimately pointless as the kiosk at similar hotels do the same thing.

The toilet has no sink, you had to step out into the room as the sink is right near the bed, which is inconvenient if someone is trying to sleep while you need to wash your hands.

a good base for Osaka

Very comfy beds and sheets. Location is a few minutes walk to either Shinsaibashi or Namba station on the Midusuji line, as well as a few minutes walk to Dotonburi. Fresh towels provided every day. Excellent front-desk staff in the form of two very polite robot dinosaurs!

It would be good if they could provide 2 pillows per bed, but that's it really

Safe area with clean hotel. The robots were fun too.

Check in was super easy. The name I registered with was slightly off from my passport, but a human staff came out from the back and quickly updated the reservation info. It’s in an amazing location with tons of things to do near by, but the noise will not keep you awake at night. Close walk to the stations for traveling each day. And 4 convince stores within a 3 minute walk. The hotel area is pretty busy with people, but we always felt safe regardless. Too many food options to try them all! Will definitely stay here my next osaka trip.

There’s a lot of signs on the street and the hotel sign doesn’t stand out so much. If you don’t know where you headed or maybe had too much to drink you could walk right past it.

Great location, questionable dinos

Great location close to train stations and Dotonbori. Clean, comfy room, spacious bathroom. Entertaining dinosaurs to check you in. Booked a twin room as a couple and the staff kindly put the beds together.

The dinosaurs seem to be the main attraction when booking this hotel, but asides from the 5 minutes you spend checking in and out they don't add anything to the stay. Funny and quirky but just a gimmick.

Perfect for the location, basic and clean.

We heard "clunk" noises the entire night, maybe because our room was next to the elevator? I am glad we had some earplugs otherwise difficult to sleep for light sleepers!

Great option to stay in Osaka for first timers especially for the unique ambience it offers.

Location is near the main district of Shinsaibashi, Osaka. Easy to find convenient stores as well as restaurants nearby and there are plenty of malls nearby too. Also, we love the dinosaur receptions and the spacious rooms.

If you are travelling via train and subways, it will take at least 10 - 15 minutes of walk to get to the hotel from the nearest station. Do be prepared to walk a bit to get to the hotel.
